
Jazmine was born and raised within Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam is Jazmine's mom, and is a former back-up singer of Philadelphia International Records. Her father proposed her to take on an appointment as curator for the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She along with her family moved in to the historic landmark. The year 2005 marks her Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduates She is an instructor in the field of vocal music. Sullivan began singing in the contralto section of the children's choir. She then sang after a couple of years, she joined the adult choir. Sullivan did not get exposed to secular music until he was a teenager. "I started singing as a soloist in churches, and one of my friends suggested I sign up for a gospel recording when I was 11. But I wasn't ready for the task," she says. In the following year, McDonald's held a contest that was open to children living in cities. I was selected to sing "Accept What God Allows" at The show Showtime at the Apollo. And the public was extremely supportive. Stevie Wonder sang her part on the day of the birthday celebrations of her son at the age of thirteen. Sullivan was the first to sign her contract with Jive Records when she was 15. Sullivan was initially signed by Jive Records around the age of 15. The singer-songwriter produced an entire album. The album didn't get released. Sullivan was eventually removed from the label. Missy Elliott was her producer on a couple of tracks on the album she released as her first. The most notable of these was "Backstabbers" from Timbaland that Elliott created and produced, was her favorite song.
